We came up with some ideas for themed events to get the local people involved in the fair celebrations and we spent many hours designing and creating costumes and props. We loved how well-received the events were and over the next few years we continued coming up with more and more ideas such as The Hunt for the Winkleigh Firedrake Dragon, Whirly Me Gigs Wondrous Wizarding Academy and the Polar Express experience.

Before long, we were approached by event organisers to provide entertainment at various commercial events.  It was then that we realised the possibility of turning our creative dream into reality and Marvellous Eventures became official.

Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some fantastic local businesses, councils and charities, entertaining people of all ages, from all walks of life.

When we’re not out entertaining, we’re planning our next event or working in our workshop, where we still make everything by hand.  From the traditional to the weird and wonderful, we always make sure that everything we do is created with our audience at the forefront and we are so fortunate to have built up a wonderful team that share our ethos - to put it simply, we love nothing more than seeing everyone have a good time and leaving with a smile on their face.

With a joint passion for entertaining as well as creating handmade costumes, props and scenery, we love what we do and we hope that we’ll meet you at an event soon!

A little bit about us

The idea for Marvellous Eventures came about after we volunteered to provide all the entertainment for our local annual fair, in Winkleigh, Devon back in 2014.
